NaomiCooks.com was created by her family out of love — a way to gather the pieces of her life’s work and hold them close, to honor the joy she has brought into our homes, and to share the light she continues to bring into the world.
What began as a simple effort to gather her cookbooks quickly became something larger: a tribute to a woman whose passion for cooking has touched millions of people, including many she never met but somehow always understood. Her food has been part of everyday dinners, Shabbat tables, holiday celebrations, and family milestones — woven into the story of who we are and into the rhythm of life for families across the country and around the world.
Naomi’s journey started in the classrooms of Atwater Grade School and Shorewood High School and eventually led her to the Cordon Bleu in Paris. But her true artistry was never about technique alone. It was in the way she fed people — with tenderness, curiosity, generosity, and a kind of effortless warmth that made everyone feel at home. Her dishes fostered connection, comfort, and celebration.
Through her syndicated food column — appearing in more than 200 newspapers — and through her seven cookbooks, her recipes traveled into millions of kitchens. People she never met invited her into their homes, trusted her voice, and relied on her to help them feed the people they love. They cooked her food for their most meaningful moments — Shabbat dinners, holidays, milestones, and the quiet, ordinary nights that make up a life.
Our cookbooks exist in a view-only format, preserving Naomi’s culinary legacy exactly as it was originally created. Each book is carefully presented for easy reading & family sharing.
